Using Edcite With Moodle and other Learning Management Systems

You can now provide Edcite exercises (quizzes) and individual questions (items) as graded activities in Moodle and other SCORM compatible learning management  systems (LMS).  We provide SCORM packages for every shared exercise and question that can be added as an activity in any of your Moodle courses.  

You can use shared exercises and questions with Moodle even without an Edcite login for you or your students.  Browse the shared exercises and Questions and click on the Get SCORM Package buton.

Steps to Get Edcite Scorm Package and Make it a Graded Activity in Moodle

  1. If not logged into Edcite, from www.edcite.com,  click on the Browse Exercises/Questions button
      OR
    If logged in to Edcite, click on Exercises/Questions at the top of the page 

  2. Browse and select the desired Exercise/Question and click on "Get SCORM Package" icon to download the SCORM Package in zip format

  3. If you are a Teacher or Admin in your moodle installation, you can go to 'My Course' and select the course you want to add the SCORM Activity.

  4. Click on "Add an activity or resource"

  5. Select "SCORM Package" and Click on 'Add' button

  6. Now, you can enter various field for your new SCORM Activity. Name, Description and other scoring preferences

  7. Click on 'Choose a file' and upload the downloaded package (edcite_item.zip / edcite_exercise.zip)

  8. Save and Display

  9. You are ready to assign the Edicte Activty to your students.


This feature is available for all shared content, whether your own or shared by others on Edcite.  You'll find a thousands of questions and hundreds of exercises in the growing Edcite library.  If you'd like to combine questions into an exercise for your students, log into Edcite and create a new exercise with those items.  Then share the exercise and you'll be able to share it with your students.

For your own private questions and exercises on Edcite, this feature is not available.  You will want to use the assignments tools on Edcite to send students private content.
